Shipping FAQs
Here are some of our frequently asked questions.
What determines the freight cost?
Freight costs are depend on the value, weight/volume of the goods, and the destination country. Preparing export documentation can sometimes cause delays, typically ranging from 5 to 10 working days, while the goods await dispatch from the Six Sense warehouse. Rest assured, we strive to minimize any delays as much as possible. Please be aware that large or oversized and bulky deliveries to Brazil, Brunei, Chile, and Nigeria will be made to port only.
What are the duties and taxes for my international delivery?
International deliveries do not include customs or clearance fees, duties, taxes, road tax, or quarantine and fumigation fees (primarily in Australia), which are the customer’s responsibility before delivery. Failure to make these payments can result in delays (for which Six Sense cannot be held responsible) and the eventual return of the goods with additional costs.
Each country has its own percentage rate for these fees, which can be obtained from your local customs office. As the customer, you are solely responsible for these payments. We advise you to verify your country’s import rules and regulations, including VAT and duty rates, with your local customs office.
How do you protect my goods?
For larger, fragile, or bulky items, we employ palletization and sometimes crate packaging to ensure the safety of your goods during transit. Please note that deliveries are made to the curb-side only, and larger items may require assistance unloading. Unfortunately, we do not offer on-site packaging removal or installation services, so kindly arrange for help to unpack and set up your items upon delivery. We request that you dispose of pallets, crate wood, and packaging materials responsibly and in an environmentally friendly manner.
How will I know when my goods are dispatched?
You will receive a confirmation email from Six Sense’s own international logistics coordinator for all international freight orders once your goods have been loaded onto the ship for transit to your location.
When can I expect to receive my order?
Our goods are made to order, and the website provides a production lead time. Typically, your goods should arrive within 4-6 weeks via sea freight after dispatch from our warehouse, subject to customs clearance and unforeseen circumstances.
Do you deliver items separately?
We can consider splitting your order if some goods are required before others, but please be aware that additional charges may apply.
Is it necessary for someone to be present to accept the delivery?
Yes, it is essential for someone to be available to accept the delivery. In cases of delivery access issues, additional fees, along with actual delivery and collection costs, will be charged.
Can you assist to move my goods to the second floor?
Our deliveries are made to the curb-side only, and we do not offer on-site packaging removal or installation services at this time. If you require assistance, it’s advisable to have help available at the time of delivery. Some local delivery agents may offer assistance, but this is not guaranteed. If assistance is available, you would need to coordinate directly with the delivery agent, and this service may incur additional charges. Six Sense does not facilitate or manage these arrangements or payments, as they are handled independently between you and the local delivery agent.
